Moldova wants to cope with economic problems with the assistance of Blockchain
A group of crypto-enthusiasts from Moldova is expecting to raise the country’s economy with the help of a Blockchain. To this end, they created the Association of Digital and Distributed Technologies of Moldova (DTMA) to use it to integrate Blockchain technologies into various sectors of Moldova’s economy and attract international investors by creating jobs.
DTMA has recently launched its version of Dash to use it to control the secure distribution of grants for students and scientists who work in the field of Blockchain. DTMA is currently negotiating with the government of Moldova to create a special zone in the country with tax incentives to attract international Blockchain projects and specialists. Also, the Association is planning to turn Moldova into a technological hub that will connect Europe and the CIS countries.
In January 2018, the first cryptocurrency exchanger will be opened in Moldova, where the US dollar, euro, Swiss franc, British pound, Romanian leu, Russian ruble and Moldovan leu is going to be presented.
Moldova is considered the poorest country in Europe with an annual GDP per capita of $ 2,200.
