​​Poland is developing its own cryptocurrency

Polish Blockchain Technology Accelerator (PATB), which operates under the Ministry of Digitalization, is currently implementing the project of the domestic Polish cryptocurrency – Digital PLN (dPLN). This virtual currency was developed at Lazar University in Warsaw.

According to the developers, the Polish cryptocurrency will have speculative functions, and also tied to the Polish currency – Polish zloty (PLN). In addition, under the current EU rules, the digital currency dPLN will not be anonymous, and the government will be able to monitor all transactions with it.

It is noticeable, that earlier this week Sweden announced the launch of its cryptocurrency called e-Krona.
